Using Stacks means agreeing to what is below. It is written to be read rather than skipped, and it is short on purpose.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the security of whichever Google or Apple account you signed in with. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into it.

What you put on your shelves

It stays yours. Making a shelf public gives us permission to show it: in the app, and on a share link and its preview image, which anybody with the link can open. That permission ends for anything you delete, except for copies sitting in backups until they age out. Deleting your account takes your shelves with it.

What not to do with it

Do not use Stacks to break the law, to harass anybody, or to post things you have no right to post. Accounts that do can be suspended or removed.

Things the app fills in for you

When you save an item, Stacks finds a picture, a link and a short description of what the thing is. Some of that is written by a machine and some of it is taken from the web, so it can be wrong, out of date, or missing. Treat it as a helpful label rather than a fact you would rely on, and you can edit or remove any of it.

Affiliate links

Some product links carry an affiliate tag, and a purchase may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. It has no effect on what gets shown, recommended, or matched. Whatever you buy is between you and the shop.

Ending it

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, with no email to write. We can suspend or end access for a breach of these terms.

No warranty

Stacks is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, and we make no promise about anything another person recommends on it, or about any product or shop it points you to.

Changes

These terms will change as the app does. Anything significant will be said in the app rather than quietly edited here.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law rules.
